Scrapbook inspiration

'Eya,

DIY is one off favourite things to do. I love doing arts and crafts I'm just not very talented in that area.

I've always created memoirs and photo albums of events and holidays or adventures. But when I found I had no more room for the cards and flowers I had pressed from Sam I decided to make a scrap book. I brought an A3 folder from paper chase and began decorating it.

The idea of scrapbooking isn't to make it perfect it's about creating something that holds memories that you can look back on and keep forever!

You can put anything in a scrapbook, I've put in small flat stones that I've collected form beaches, pressed flowers, cards, photos even train tickets and sweet wrappers. Me and Sam had a list of things we wanted to do together, sort of like a bucket list which we put at the back of the scrapbook!

Before starting your scrapbook, collect together things that you can put in and start drafting ways of decorating it. I've used stencils, paint, silver, bronze, gold and black pens. I use scraps of old material and stickers and buttons. I've recently managed to create a full drawer of things that I can use to decorate it, some that I've had since I was really little.

Scrapbooks are a great way to collect memories together, they don't even have to have to be for you personally, they make great gifts for friends and family and don't cost much!  Everything I've included in my scrapbook has a meaning behind it, and by using decorative pens and paints I've written the meaning next to the item so I will never forget the meaning.

Scrapbooks can be so versitile and enjoyable. I could spend hours making it just right!

I hope this helps someone and gives even one person inspiration to create their own scrapbook. Below are a few pictures from the scrapbook I created of me and Sam.

Untill next time,
